May God be with all of you and especially Christiana and Serena as they come through the hospital experiences. As I was praying, I also felt that removing some of the large amounts of steriods would help your precious girl. I am glad to hear that this is happening. Many times so much of what doctors do, seems to be experimental and they learn as they go along with different medications on different ages of people. Our prayers for wisdom for them and you continue to go up to our wonderful God who loves all of your family so dearly.

We received the update on Christiana. We are praying that God continues to help her improve. Glad to know that her spirits are high and she is bieng an enjoyment to those caring for her. We are praying for her and you all as well as her doctors. Please continue to keep us updated. God bless you all.

I have received your e-mail and right now I am praying with God for you all, so hold fast to God for he told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am the Lord God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for me?" Wek now the answer and we need to hold to God for He is the light of the world and it's in Him we live, move and have your being so keep the power of fasting and prayer while God works. Without faith, it's impossible to please God. We are now calling on the Jehovah Rophe, the great Healer. May God keep you in His care as he does the impossible to make it possible. God bless.

Dear Prayer Warriors: Those of you who can, please meet us at Generations Foursquare Church (GFC) at 7 pm tonight for prayer for Christiana. For those of you who are local (San Jose) who would like to join us, we are at 145 Martinvale Lane in South San Jose off of Santa Teresa Blvd.
For those of you in the Cayman Islands and New York and Puerto Rico, please pray at 7 pm your time! If you can stay up until 7 pm PST, then wait until then. There is power in agreement and unity.
For those who can't be at GFC join us by praying for the following:
First, surround Christiana with a hedge of protection (Hosea 2:6), thank the Lord that He is a wall of fire around her that the enemy cannot cross to kill, steal or destroy (Zechariah 2:5). Thank the Lord that He is a wide river of protection around her taht the enemy cannot cross. (Isaiah)
Use God's word as a sword (Hebrews 4:12-13) to expose the hidden weapons of the enemy. Use God's word as a hammer to crush this disease that is attacking Christiana. Use God's word as fire to burn the dross of the demonic out of her (Jeremiah 23:29). Use God's work as refiner's fire and launderer's soap to cleanse her body of all disease (Malachi 3:2-3). Ask the Lord to pour the water from heaven to cleanse her body to anoint her with healing oil.
Also pray for a spirit of revelation, wisdom, insight, discernment (a double portion), common sense, knowledge and understanding for the doctors (Proverbs 2:2-8). Ask the Lord to tell the angels that surround Christiana to not allow any medications that will cause her ill effects.
Continue to pray that the fluid around her heart will drain; that her kidneys have a good supply of blood flowing through them and that they kick in; that her blood platelets will increase, and that none of this will have a permanent effect on Christiana. Ask the Lord to be a shield about her (Proverbs 2:7b).
Pray, pray, pray and when all else fails pray!
God is still on the throne and prayer changes things!
Blessings to all.

Maria, what a joy to receive your message on our machine. Always so good to hear your sweet voice! We were at church when you called. Didn't check messages until very late Saturday night after we had spent several hours as a family carving pumpkinds. You are going to get a kick out of this recipe. It is one of my family's favorites, too. It is the Stouffer's "Grandma's Chicken and Rice Bake" - something like that name. You can find it in the frozen food section of just about any grocery store. Anyway, glad you enjoyed it. It was our pleasure to prepare supper for y'all. Wish we could have visited longer with Evelyn and Serena - what gorgeous ladies! We were in the middle of our supper; Frank needed to scoot to choir practice, and your ladies needed to get to church. I realize it wasn't the appropriate time for too much conversation, but I still desired it. I would love to hear how they are doing with all their activities.
As we learned with Heather and all of her hospitalizations, life still goes on for the rest of the family. The catch with this kind of situation is that the siblings want to participate in their sister's care, but their lives are so full with school, sports, church, friends, etc. that they are left to fend for themselves far too much. This is when you truly see how God provides for everyone's needs! Just keep hugging each other and making good use of every opportunity God gives each of you to spend together. Sometimes it will be short, but very sweet. Maria, I am concerned for you and your well-being. You must get enough rest and good nutrition in order to handle everything on your overflowing plate. Always know that you are in my prayers. I can really appreciate the postion in which you find yourself. Don't hesitate to ask for help and be really honest with your feelings and thoughts. Tell Christiana how much we love her and are praying for her. She literally has thousands of people praying for her around the world - awesome isn't it? Remember that we can help with whatever you need. Enjoy a victorious day in Jesus no matter what comes your way, dear friend! I love you bunches!

Hi Maria, how is your darling daughter? (You never have to apologize for not getting back to me, I completely understand that you are pre-occupied). Phil and I would love to come and visit if you know when a good time would be. You can call that day. Of course we continue to labor in prayer for her and for you and Dwight - if there is anything we can do for you, to encourage you, help to fortify you, edify you, let us know.
Phil taught on the Goodness of God this morning at our Sunday fellowship, and I did as well for the children. 7 times in the first chapter of Genesis, the writer confirms God's goodness. Then we looked at Ephesians 2:4-10 which are really revealing about God's nature and purpose for us: "that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus." And now I am thinking of another wonderful section of the Word, in Romans 8:31 "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" and also Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
These are just a few of the wonderful encouragements to remember His goodness, and come to Him expecting to receive and knowing that His will towards us is always good, always kind and merciful. Things can look really dismal and discouraging, but God is bigger than the senses and the circumstances. I love that His word is faithful, and that He will perform what He promises. I love you very much, and again, let us know if we can help, we will keep praying for God to heal Christiana and completely restore her to health.

Blessings to you and your girls. I am writing to let you know that you and Christiana have been in my prayers since I first heard of her illness. I was thankful to see you in church, after you returned from Canada, and to be able to pray over Christiana. She is so precious. I can't imagine how difficult and draining this has been for you, Christiana, and your family. Christiana may not remember me, but please tell her that I am praying for her. Please give her a HUGE hug from me :-) I know it is not easy being ill and not being in school or able to participate in her normal activities. I am truly praying God's complete healing for her and his strength, comfort, peace and grace to carry her through.
